China Ditch is a historic spot near Hiway 97 south of Pateros.
There is a turn out on the river side of the hiway. Be careful of traffic and there is NO NEED TO GET CLOSE TO THE EDGE. Watch for snakes in this area. Enjoy the view of the river, this is a great spot for steelhead fishing in the fall and winter.
