Commemorating Rochester Area CITO 2009 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team GeoGriffin: I stopped by today and this one is indeed missing. I don't know if it was reclaimed by nature or man, but hopefully whoever finds it next will recycle it and keep with the CITO theme.

Thanks to everyone who visited and thanks to everyone who helped with the original CITO!

Geocache Description:

This cache commemorates the "Rochester Area CITO 2009" event (GC1PQ4Y) that was held May 2, 2009.

cito-logoCache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers have been dedicated to cleaning up parks and other cache-friendly places around the world. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!

This is a community cache. This cache container is a .50 cal ammo can that is decorated with the CITO logo and was autographed by those that attended and hidden after the event concluded. The cache started out with a lot of CITO kits (film canisters containing plastic bags), some kids books on the environment, and swag provided by the people attending the event. Please let us know when the supply of CITO kits is low and we'll try and restock them.
