Approx. 250m walk along a level unsealed road that is used as an access road to nearby 4WD tracks. No room to turn your car around, so please leave it at the Inn's car park.
My first visit to the Black Spur Inn was on my first motorbike group ride. Surrounded by triumphs and harleys we stopped here for a light lunch, being on a Learner's permit at the time I had to make do with a non-alcoholic beverage. Now on full licence and having completed many runs on the Black Spur/ Reefton Spur , I thought to share one of my favourite places.
Cache is a .30 Ammo Tin with a home made attempt at cammo. And no, it isn't desert colours. GZ is on the West side of the road, this side is lush and green. You could be seen by passing traffic, so please keep an ear out for 4WD's.
There is a bag of loot for FTF includung an inactive FTF Coin.
Notebook, pen and some swaps. Also a disposable camera with 27 shots. So if you'd like, take a pic of yourself/team and when film is finished I will post the pics !!
(Management at the Black Spur Inn were quite intrigued when I spoke to them about my hide. Geocaching is hard to explain to muggles. I might have to use props next time.)
