Six Down - Walkers Creek Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is in Walkers Creek Cemetery a few miles north of
Cameron, Texas. This is part of the growing Six Down
series.
According to the historical marker -- which stands just inside the
entrance -- the Walkers Creek community was named for W.H. Walker,
who moved to the area in the 1830s. An association cares for the
still-active cemetery, named a Historic Texas Cemetery in 2005. The
cache is a camouflaged pill bottle. Bring a pen to sign the log.
FTF may have the cool coin (notice the shape!) from a warm place
(Jamaica!). "18 smilies" and a few other trade items are also
included. Please replace the container and camo well.
Congratulations to
Backwards Charlie from Austin
for becoming
FTF!
