This cache was placed in honor of a member of the Utah Highway Patrol who lost his life in the line of duty many years ago. Before or after you find this cache, feel free to visit this memorial, which is located east of the cache location.
I have visited several of these memorials in my travels across Utah, and always stop to pay my respects to my fallen brothers. This memorial is found atop a rocky knoll above eastbound I-80 in Parley's Canyon. Most passers-by don't even know this spot is here.
The cache is a small camo'd container. There is a steep cliff to the north of where I hid this cache. Please attend your children closely if you bring them with you. Watch your footing, also. The rock can be unstable in places. Please trade fairly, and let me know if there are any problems with the cache. I will see to it that it's remedied ASAP.
Thanks for visiting, and for taking time to remember. Too many take for granted those who serve and protect. "It is not how these Officers died that makes them heros...It is how they lived."
For more information on these fallen heros, please visit Trooper Daniel W. Harris
Congratulations to brbird on the FTF!
