This isn’t one of the typical hop in the Cache-mobile and grab a Starbucks on the way as you park within a few feet of the actual cache.
I attribute this and the rest of my caches (from here on out) that I hide to a couple of GC’ing teams out there. They know who they are, and for those who don’t…if you head to the SOUTHern dogs PAW in AZ, you’ll know what daMn TIME it is.
I will admit that I used to be in it for the numbers and the FTF’s, but after 6 months of extensive hiking I got spoiled by caches that offer a real sense of accomplishment with views few people have the opportunity to see.
The views are not those of cars driving by or the McDonalds across the street, these are truly rewarding caches that you must go prepared for. No convenience stores here to grab a soda or water when you get a little tired and thirsty. So if this isn’t your style of caching, then stay in your air conditioned vehicle, leave it running and jump out and grab that “numbers” cache. For the rest of you who are in for the challenge…get the heck out there and grab those caches.
