Geocache Description:

This medium sized lake is all but hidden from the road as you drive past and it doesn't look like it is visited very often. Some effort was made some time ago to landscape the area, but it would appear that the project was abandoned. A foot bridge crossing over a seasonal spillway between the lake and the harbour and leading to a gazebo is all that was done. It's a shame that this area hasn't been developed more as it is a unique spot. As you stand on the foot bridge, on one side you have a freshwater lake and on the other an enclosed but tidal section of the harbour. Two totally different enviorments but closely linked together.
The cache has two parts to it. The first part is to locate the cache. It is small (bring your own pen), but when you locate it you won't be able to reach for it. The second part of the cache is the retrival and for this you will need a bucket and quick reflexes.
Be careful as you return back to the road after finding the cache. This is a busy road and is used by road trains, so have a good look before you pull out onto it.
Good luck.
