Ottawa School - SCAR09 Traditional Cache

A lock & lock near historic Ottawa School, a stop on the Riverlands Self-Guided Heritage Tour.

We were surprised by this old school because it is brick and a very decent size for its time. The original Ottawa school was established in 1910 but was destroyed by arsonists. The new school was built in 1930. It was closed in 1958. The school yard is now an experimental orchard and the building is undergoing restoration. There is no need to enter the school yard to find the cache.
