This "Restin'" cache is part of a series that will take you to local cemeteries - places of historic importance and interest. We introduce you to these cemeteries as a way of exploring our local history, and the people who were early settlers here. While you are visiting, reflect on their lives, and contributions to the communities in which we live today. Please respect their resting place and ensure that extreme care is taken during your visit. North Channel Cemetery was once known as the Old Burying Ground. The earliest date recorded is on Jerusha Plumley's stone. She died April 12, 1801 "in ye 61st year of hir age". Other families buried here played prominent roles in the early development of Edwardsburgh.
