Geocache Description:

Just south of this location is the Barry Goldwater bombing range. It’s used as a training range to the fighter pilots who fly out of Luke Air Force base up in Phoenix. A good friend of mine retired out of that air field and this cache was placed in his honor. Madbomber462 has since moved back to Georgia.

My fondest memory of him is our trip (with WhirledCache) to the Peavine trail up in the Prescott area. That day we found 128 caches during our trip! While I know my own drive wouldn’t have secured that kind of a record day for me, his energy fueled us all and was instrument in the success we had that day.

This cache has been hidden at an intersection of two interstate highways. There is easy on and off access to ground zero and plenty of parking. Container is a lock 'n lock which is big enough for small travel bugs or geocoins. Be sure to bring your own writing stick.
