Pakrowka Cemetery - SCAR09 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sask_girl & Novy: Out for a cache maintenance run so thought we would swing by this one. It is definitely gone. We can't believe how different it looks! All of the shrubs are gone! We really like this spot but don't have the right kind of container with us that would last so we'll archive it.

A cammoed lock & lock near the Pakrowka Cemetery. Please rehide well.

Pakrowka (aka Pokrova) Cemetery was established in 1899 by the Doukhobors of Pokrova village. After the abandonment of the village in 1920 the cemetery continued to be used by local Doukhobors. Located in the Henrietta School District, it also came to be known as the Henrietta Cemetery. An adjoining cemetery on the southwest end, known as the Little Pakrowka Cemetery was established in 2002 to serve the Osatchoff family. The main cemetery contains 221 internments, of which approximately 90 have no marker and have been leveled.
