A 10 minuti da Via Antica Romana Occidentale uno dei più bei panorami di Sestri Levante

At 10 minutes from Via Antica Romana Western one of the most beautiful landscapes of Sestri Levante

Non lontano dai ruderi della chiesa di Sant' Anna.
La cache contiene, un logbook, un draghetto, una penna e una matita.
Si giunge alle "Rocche di Sant'Anna", affacciate sul golfo del Tigullio di fronte a Sestri Levante, percorrendo la romana via Aemilia Scauri.
A mezza costa si stagliano le rovine della chiesa, la cui origine è legata a due diverse leggende di origine medievale.
La prima leggenda racconta che Anna, della famiglia dei Fieschi, ogni giorno andava sul promontorio a scrutare l'orizzonte, in attesa della nave che le riportasse l'innamorato partito per la Crociata. Un giorno cadde da cavallo e morì, e il fidanzato - al suo ritorno - fece costruire la chiesa in sua memoria.
La seconda leggenda narra invece di un cavaliere che cadde da cavallo sull'orlo del precipizio, dove un cespuglio gli impedì di precipitare nel vuoto: in segno di gratitudine verso Sant'Anna che l'aveva protetto, egli le dedicò la chiesa.
L'area era conosciuta anticamente come "Pietra calante", per via delle numerose frane che cadevano dal promontorio, e anche come "Salto": così è definita da papa Alessandro III nel 1153 in una missiva con cui assegna la zona al Monastero di San Marzano di Tortona; la tradizione popolare attribuiva il nome alla leggenda del cavaliere caduto da cavallo.

It comes with the "Rocche di Sant'Anna", overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio facing Sestri Levante, along the Roman Via Aemilia Scauri.
A stand out halfway up the ruins of the church, whose origin is linked to two other legends of medieval origin.
The first legend tells that Anna, the family of Fieschi, every day was on the promontory to scan the horizon, awaiting the ship that put the love for the party Crusade. One day he fell from his horse and died, and her boyfriend - on his return - the church built in his memory.
The second legend instead of a knight who fell from his horse on the brink of the precipice, where a bush prevent him from plunging into the void: a sign of gratitude to Saint Anne who had protected, he dedicated the church.
The area was formerly known as "flat stone", due to numerous landslides falling down from the promontory, as well as "Jump" as defined by Pope Alexander III in 1153 in a letter that gives the area at the Monastery of St. Marzano di Tortona, a popular tradition attributed the name to the legend of a knight fell from his horse.
