One of the earliest radar stations Ventnor was part of the "Chain Home" network. It apparently has the unique distinction of being the only station in england to be put out of action by the enemy during the second world war.
The coordinates take you to the radar station where you will find the information needed to complete the location of the actual cache which is a small plastic box located within easy walking distance.
The physical cache is located at N50° 36.abc' W001° 12.ddb'
where:
a is the digit from the number of the footpath to st. Boniface down.
b is the number of the month the Dakota went off the radar. (January=1, February=2, etc).
c is the second digit of the year of the incident.
dd is the third digit of the year of the incident multiplied by the day of the month.
Whilst the first location has parking and, though uneven, is just about wheelchair accessible, the second potentially requires descending a few feet down a small stepped slope.
Note that it is not necessary to enter the actual radar station which is private property
