Walk The Planks: Captain's Mess Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pirate Rat: Regrettably archiving this one. The wooden structure of the bridge disappears a little more each year. What was once a strong railing plank holding the cache is now way easy to shred using my bare hands. Nearby, displaced individuals have been camping in the same spot for well over a year. The cache was intended to help people discover this particular spot - I would feel a bit uneasy continuing to bring folks here. So long and thanks for nearly 150 finds!

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

What started out as a small container is now a micro. There is no longer room for trackables or treasures.
Stay safe while you're out hunting it! Rain may flood the path leading to the cache. Even though this is not a named park, please still treat it as such and do not search for the cache between dusk and dawn.
I wouldn't want you to be keel-hauled - or worse - clapped into irons!

WATCH YOUR STEP, THE STONES ARE ALL LOOSE.
SNOW MAY BE COVERING UP A DEEP STEP DURING THE WINTERTIME

{Secret: There is a hidden visitor parking spot directly behind the ICF building}
Monsoons have taken their toll on the poopdeck and this captain has no intention of cleaning up the mess, although it does look like somebody is still making a token effort.
If you see the Fourth Mate, please send him back to the ship - he never returned from shoreleave. Apparently he also took some of the captain's baubbles with him as he went ashore for his yearly bath.

(Baubbles... bath... it's a pun... Hold the groans, I can't hear you anyhow...)

Argh! King Poseidon has been throwing a tantrum trying to knock this one down for a find! I have consulted with the Dreadpirate Hideki (of the CGS Gauss) and have switched to an attractive container of his design.
