Win-A-Pig Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TurdleEggs: Sadly, this cache’s reason to exist is gone. Unless it gets renamed “Post” - but that’s not nearly as funny as “Win-A-Pig.” I stopped by this morning to retrieve the remains of the cache – it wasn’t pretty. The hog nose and pig tail were long gone - presumably part of a wiener at the Maple Leaf sausage factory nearby. On the up side, I did find a ½” drive socket that I didn't already have and a fibre glass handled hammer. A little polishing up and they’ll be good as new!

Thanks for placing this fun cache junglehair – I know I enjoyed finding it!

Geocache Description:

A quick stop on your way into Winnipeg.

When I was on a Contiki tour of Europe many many years ago, we were discussing where we all lived. When I said I was from Winnipeg, someone said "You live in a city called Win A Pig???!" This cache is dedicated to the city of Win-A-Pig.

It should be a very quick and easy find. This is a small lock & lock container. There could be room for a small travel bug depending on how much other stuff is in there.

There is a wide shoulder here that you can park on. Just make sure you pull as far over as possible. Watch out for golpher holes in the area.

Kids will like this one.
