PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LISTING HAS CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL. Part of the well has become overgrown by the local vegetation, and therefore the original method of finding the cache has been obscured. To make things easier, I have revised my listing as of 26/6/09. The cache remains in its original position. Many thanks go to those cachers who alerted me to the problem.
There is an interesting old fountain in the village of Carlops. Here, you will see a lion's head, and above it are two words. Convert the letters of these words into numbers using the usual method (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, etc).
The first letter of the first word = A
The third letter of the first word = B
The last letter of the first word = C
The second letter of the second word = D
The third letter of the second word = E
The last letter of the second word = F

A word of caution: even though you are in a village, there is no walkway for about 50 meters, and cars go through here very quickly. Also, there is a very steep slope next to the path to the cache. Please be careful with children and dogs while doing this cache.
