Permission has been granted for this cache placement. However, you must heed the following very important information for hunting this cache:
- Check in at the office (near admission sign) or with a staff member to identify yourself as a geocacher as soon as you arrive on site.
- Children must be directly supervised by adults at ALL times.
- Be respectful. Hunt without being loud or disturbing, poking, feeding, annoying, or otherwise being a nuisance. Be a kind cacher.
- Closed-toe shoes must be worn on site. Walk only; save the running for marathons and other such events that energetic folks choose.
- Smoking must be done elsewhere, not on this property.
- Figure the coordinates any time you wish, but the location of the final is available only Monday – 10am-3pm, Thursday – 10am-3pm, Friday – 10am-4pm, Saturday – 10am–4pm, Sunday – 1pm–4pm. Site is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please do not ask for special accommodations.
- Finding the cache does not involve a fee, but opting for a tour will cost you a small amount.
Now that all of the qualifiers and fine print are out of the way, I'll share that I was sitting at the computer one evening, at the FreecycleTM website, listing all the stuff I had just cleaned out of my shed, when I discovered that the Pensacola area has its very own bird sanctuary. No kidding!
So I did a bit more investigating, a "bird search", if you will. One thing led to another, and half of the stuff that came out of my shed ended up going right to the bird sanctuary, because they could use it. How cool is that?! And that is exactly what you will experience (one thing leading to another, not receiving junk from my shed), because, as is the case with mystery/puzzle caches, the cache is not hidden at the above coordinates. It can, however, be found within two miles of them. I hope you enjoy the word search, while you cogitate the whereabouts of the cache. Hints will be forthcoming if necessary.
