When Lesori
and I went to place this cache, I wasn't sure yet on the name for
the cache. That was taken care of when we got to the area. There
were birds of all sorts. We saw several species of birds and heard
even more back in the fenced in woods. We spotted the
following:
Cardinal

Robin

Purple
Martin

Red-winged
Blackbird

Double-crested Cormorant

Blue Jay

Canadian
Goose (and several goslings).

We didn't
see it, but we sure heard it....A Wild Hen Turkey.

She was
quite clear to hear among her other feathered friends. No promises
you will have the same experience, but you never know.....
The cache is
not inside the fenced in area, so don't worry about that. The
container was an abandoned item and I decided to CITO the area and
trust me....it was in much worse shape when I found it than it is
now. It is a bit of a walk from the suggested parking, but there is
only a little rolling of the terrain so it won't be a hard
hike.
UPDATE: Nov
2009 It is quite obvious we have a GEO THIEF in the area. In the
past month, 3 Geocoins and 1 TB have been taken by someone who has
not logged their visit nor have they logged taking the travelers.
There are a couple other caches nearby that also have bugs listed
and not in the cache. As much as I hate this, FOR THE SAFETY OF THE
ITEMS... PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE TRACKABLES IN THIS CACHE AT THIS TIME.
For the "person" stealing these....Your penitence will come.
Enjoy the
area as we did!
