Geocache Description:

Mornos is a river in Greece that begins in the Oiti mountains near the Fthiotida prefecture and empties to the Gulf of Corinth.

An artificial lake (reservoir) has been constracted to the river by an earthen dam so as to supply the city of Athens with water.The construction of Mornos Dam (126 meters high) began in 1972 all works were completed by 1980. The dam is one of the largest earthen dams in Europe.

The cache is a magnetic nano cache so remember to bring a pen with you!!!

Ο Μόρνος είναι ένα ποτάμι της Ελλάδας που ξεκινά από το βουνό Οίτη κοντά στην Φθιώτιδα και καταλήγει στον Κορινθιακό κόλπο. Μια τεχνητή λίμνη (ταμιευτήρας) έχει δημιουργηθεί με την κατασκευή χωμάτινου φράγματος ώστε να να καλύψει τις ανάγκες ύδρευσης του νομού Αττικής.
Η κατασκευή του Φράγματος (126 μέτρα ύψος) άρχισε το 1972 και όλες οι εργασίες ολοκληρώθηκαν το 1980. Το φράγμα είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα χωμάτινα φράγματα της Ευρώπης.

Η κρύπτη είναι μια μαγνητική νανο-κρύπτη οπότε θυμηθείτε να φέρετε ένα στυλό μαζί σας!!!
