Geocache Description:

Geocaching brings you to places you would not visit without it.

That's why we'd like to bring you to the Kremasti bridge.

The bridge of Kremasti, between Agia Paraskevi and Stipsi, stands intact over torrent "Tsiknias". The 8.5 m-high stone bridge was built by the Gatelouzi in the Middle Ages. Legend has it that its construction was similar of the bridge of Arta (the chief engineer's wife was buried in the bridge stones to prevent the bridge from collapsing).

Built in the 14th or 15th century, it was once part of an important trade route between Mitilene and the north of the island, and has survived six hundred years in almost perfect condition.

To close the box : push firmly on the 4 corners until you hear the 'click'. These boxes were used by the US army so they must be able to keep a piece of paper dry....
Here is a movie showing how to close the box.

Small note on cache maintenance: There is a local cache guardian. Name and contact info on file with geocaching.com.
