This cache is one of a series, forming a 5.3 km. circular walk south of the village of Redbourn. The walk is on well sign-posted footpaths, through predominantly farmed land. Some parts of the route can be muddy in damp conditions, which is not surprising for arable farmland. If you want to avoid the mud, try doing the series at frosty or dry times of the year.
There are some lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Although several of the series can be done as a “Cache and dash”, we recommend parking near the Church of St Mary’s, Redbourn.
It would be possible to include some of the Nicky Line caches as well as the nearby Redbourn caches and make a real day of it.
We have been “creative” with our camouflage for the series ……feedback welcome!
