Halfmoon Pond Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Bullis: This one has served it's purpose over the years. To complete the Largest Lakes Challenge in NH, a cache needed to be within a half mile of the water body. There are several in the area now. I am closing this one down and will retrieve the container the next time going by. Thanks to all who visited. Hope you finished the Lakes challenge.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates are fake. Solve the puzzle below to find the cache.

Everytime I go by this lake, I can't help but hear a song by Dennis DeYoung of Styx come into my head, so I thought I'd make a cache with this theme. This also is a good cache for the NH Lakes Challenge.

"Is this the train to Halfmoon Pond?" was all4 she said
But I knew I'd heard that stranger's voice before
I turned to look 3into her eyes, but she moved away
She was standing in the rain
Trying hard to speak my name2
They say first love never runs dry

The waiter poured our memories into tiny cups
We stumbled 3over words we longed to hear
We talked about the dreams we'd lost, or given up
When a whistle cut the3 night
And shook silence from our lives
As the last train0 rolled towards the dune

Those summer nights when0 we were young
0We bragged of things we'd never done
We were dreamers, only7 dreamers
And in our 1haste to grow too soon
We left our innocence on Halfmoon Pond
We were dreamers, 1only dreamers
On Halfmoon Pond, on Halfmoon Pond
On Halfmoon Pond, 2Halfmoon Pond

I still can hear the whisper of the summer night
It echoes in the corners of my heart
The night we stood8 and waited for the halfmoon train
All the words we meant to say
All the chances swept away
Still remain on the road to the dune

Those summer nights when we were young
We bragged of things5 we'd never done
We were dreamers, only dreamers
Moments pass, and time moves on
But dreams remain for just as long
As there's dreamers, all the0 dreamers
On Halfmoon Pond, on Halfmoon Pond
On Halfmoon Pond, Halfmoon Pond
