Geocache Description:

This is a tribute cache to mooreadventures for their "Times Gone By..." cache that was archived. This container is the actual container from that cache and used with mooreadventures' permission.

**An Old Confederate Cemetery**

The cache location is at an old confederate cemetery which is public and can be viewed anytime, however, it cannot be seen from the road unless you know what you are looking for. It is buried (no pun intended) enough in the woods that vandals probably don't know about it. Once a year, the Sons of the Confederacy get together around this cemetery to honor the memories of those buried here. If you get to the location and find there are many cars parked along the road and in the field, I would suggest not attempting this cache.

Parking would be best on Brandon Road off of the main road. Please use the parking coords given and then use the trail entrance coords into the woods. No bushwacking is needed or necessary. There is a clear path to the cemetery from the trailhead coordinates. There is no significant walking involved (less than 500 ft from parking).

Quotes from "Times Gone By..." that pertain to this site as well:
"This cemetery has long been forgotten by many ..... This is what caching is about - going places you wouldn't otherwise find."

"Please take a little time to explore this cemetery, there are sites here that date back to the [mid to] late 1800's"

NOTE:
Please be respectful of the nature of the cemetery and the grave sites within the stone wall if you choose to explore the site. However, the cache is NOT inside the wall or near the grave stones.
