Other than the library, many residents of Cascades in Sterling may
not even know what lies down this side of the shopping area. Not
only is there a library present, but slightly further south on this
road is a small paved lot that is used on weekends for a farmer's
market during the warmer half of the year, which will make you
wonder why you ever bought fruit from a store. It's worth visiting
if you haven't before.
The location you're going to is a small wooded area behind the
library on Whitfield Pl. Easiest (and "least suspicious") access is
from the library's south parking lot (the far side if you're coming
from Palisade), which has a paved trail that goes into the woods
towards the university campus.
There's plenty of roadside parking on Whitfield, and around the
library, but you may want to be careful not to park in areas
designated for the library only. Worst case scenario, you can
always park in the shopping center on the other side of Whitfield
and have a slightly longer walk.
Cache is a small container with only enough room for a couple of
very small items, including coins and the like. It has a small
pencil, but you may wish to bring your own. You'll be walking some
distance into the trees, but the terrain is fairly flat and there's
very little bushwhacking involved. Please be sure to put the
container back as you found it, so that it will be unlikely to be
muggled. :)
This is my first cache placement, so I hope you like it! :)
