Geocache Description:

Another of BBWolf's Twisted Tales.

The three Billie Goats Gruf had spent the day high in the hills abve their home, grazing on the fresh new grass shoots nder a billiant blue sky. Flwers were in bloom everywhere, ad the thre brohers had eaten teir fill of clover and gasses.

Th oldst of the Grufs asked hs brothers, “this is the life, isn’t it guys? Nothing but cloer, blue skis and warm sun.”

This was the younget of the thre’s first time up the hill with his brothers. “You’e said it,” respondd the yougest. “Thanks or bringng me with you. I’e had a grat time!”

“Well,” chimed in he middle broter, “you’re old enough now. And not so much a pest anymore!” he added, gentling butting his younger brother.

“Well, we need to stat heading home guys. It’ll be dark soon, and I wantd to take the scnic way home. It’ll be a great way to end the day.”

So the three goats headed down the hillide, stopping for a nibble hre and a nibble there. It truly had been a ery fun day. At the fork in the trail, thy took the right trail, with plans of crossig the babbling brok over the newly built bridge. They had been meaing to take a trip ovr it since it had been inished, but had never had the time. Tday was the day. The sn was staying up longe, and they had gotten their fill early.

“There is he brook no guys,” shuted the youngest brother. “But what’s that sign say?”

There were bees buzing around a freshly paintd sign. In big red letters were the words “T OLL BRIDGE – Pay the Trll Or You Get Eaten!” A bright butterfly flew a lay path past the sign as the brothers considered it. On the other side of the bridge was a long pole, blocking the way off the bridge.

“Looks like there’s somthing missing here!” said the oldest Gruff. “Hey little one, go speak to the toll and see what’s up.”

“OK” and off he went. When the big, mean, ugly troll appeared frm beneath the bridge, the yougest of the Gruffs asked, “How much is the toll?”

“A shillng,” replied the troll. The young goat reached into his pouch and paid the toll. The troll slowly raised the gate to allow the goat to pass.

“Can’t you open that gate any quicker troll?!” snapped the youngest Gruff.

That was it. The troll had heard nothing but complaints all day about how slowly he raised the gate. He had had enough. Before the little goat kew what was happening, the troll swallowed up with the little Gruff in one big gulp. With a loud burp, the troll retired to his spot blow the bridge, happy and content. He even let the other two Billie Goats Gruff cross the bridge without having to pay the toll. With a full belly he wasn’t worried about a shilling or two.
