MillLaneum Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

bumbleguide: I have a friend who lives very close to this cache and we placed a fake box out a few nights ago, within a few hours we walked back to find the contents scattered ( a few cheap christmas cracker toys and paper) and the box smashed. we cleared up the mess but it is obvious that the site is known to the local children, therefore I have no option but to archive this site..my friend has asked me to leave the old box in place so the local children wont search about looking for it's new site as she thinks there is another cache not far away.

Geocache Description:

In May 2008 they finally finished the new footbridge over Mill Lane, having taken quite a while to build it. The road was closed for the final placement of the bridge, for which a massive crane was used.

Some friends of our nicknamed it 'The MillLaneum Bridge' which seemed a good title of a cache placed near it. It is too much of a landmark not to have a cache!

The idea is that you park in the nearby road, as per the parking co-ords, and then walk across the bridge to the cache location, which is in the trees near the bridge.

The cache can be reached without having to cross the bridge as there is parking near the cache location too. But it would sort of spoil the point of the cache if you didn't cross the bridge.

The co-ords are the best I could do under tree cover, so corrections are welcomed.
