This cache is located on a field near a site of an old Motte & Bailey Castle dating from approx 1100. Only the Motte is left. It stands 15ft high and 150ft across with a hollow in the centre 75ft in diameter and has a shallow ditch around it. The ditch has been partly obliterated by ploughing and modern field banks.
There is a play park next to the parking area to keep any mini geocachers happy. The area is also used by muggles and their canine companions so keep an eye out for them at the cache location.
