It's Been, One Week
After lurking around the website for a few months I finally
decided to join in. Kelsey and I went down to REI and bought
a cheap GPS receiver. Our first day out we inputted three of
the closest caches to our house and headed out. A 5.1 mile
walk later we returned home with a few trinkets and a strong
appeal. Two days later we went out again and hunted down 12
more and were completely hooked.
Headed back to REI, traded in the cheap GPS in for a Garmin
Oregon 400t and we have gone out every day since, finding 57 caches
in our first week, and now my new favorite word is "Muggle."
We decided to hide our first cache, and we wanted to make it
a tribute to our awesome week of geocaching.
The ways we paid our respect; We used a similar container to the
first cache we found, "Why Not Here"
(GCWT6M). We hid our cache in the same area
as our first find. (We kinda got lost here while looking). To
top it off we filled our cache with all the swag that we found
during this week of hunting.
So anyway, it's out there now in a nice little patch of desert
waiting to be found. Let me know what you think.
If you feel like it, use the camera to take a picture of
yourself. We'll post some of them after it gets filled
up.
