This cache is for serious hikers only. Please keep your eyes open for hanging branches at all times. You will be hiking through damage from the 12/08 ice storm.
I've been seeing this rock outcrop from Notch Rd. for years and have been wanting to hike up here. Today paulinka65 and I hiked up, in the rain. We started from the Chalat Wildlife Management Area (WMA) parking area on Notch Rd. in Cheshire, MA. We did a maintenance check on some caches and then bushwhacked to this spot.
Do to the rain I had poor GPS reception so I made it an easy find. I hid it well enough that it won't get muggled but nothing more. Muggles do come up here, there was plenty of evidence of that. We found a trail at the cache site which led to an old logging road. The logging road goes down to within sight of houses on Notch Rd. and is posted at that point. Don't go down the trail unless you want to come right back up it.
