Another great spot on loch Eck
The drive up Loch Eck (A815), part of the Argyll Forest Park and the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Cache is near the water's edge on the eastern edge of the loch. Birch, Rowan and other hardwoods lightly fringe the road and shore; across the loch the hills rise abruptly in craggy slopes, forested in their lower part, and with 3 big corries biting deep into the higher tops above. Several picnic sites offer the opportunity to stop and enjoy the scene. Managed by Forestry Commission Scotland, Jubilee and Dornoch Bay Picnic Sites are both worth a stop off on route. On a fine day the view, looking northwards, up Loch Eck from these sites are not to be missed.
Cache is small white tub
