If you want to park Kimberley end there is a small (2 car) layby
further up Chuch Hill on the left just past the path access point
which is very easy to spot!
Do not park on the Church Hill next to the path entry point, it's
too narrow and will cause problems for others. Alternatively, park
in Kimberley town or near the Gate Inn, Awsworth to combine with GN
1.
This can be done in conjunction with GN 1 - Awsworth Junction if
you use the pedestrian underpass under the A610 just north of where
it bisects the railway path.
To do this here's some additional info:
To access the tunnel from this path, assuming you are walking from
Kimberley, walk to the end of the embankent where there is a path
off to the left just before the end and one at the end, you can
take either but the left one is more direct. At the bottom of the
steep steps with the A610 embankment in front of you, bear left and
follow the embankment until you reach the tunnel. Go through this.
The tunnel is adjacent to a Westbound layby on the A610 and with
only a small fence between the two, The bottom end of the layby has
an access path back onto the GN that will take you to GN1.
Alternatively there are footpaths signposted that should get you
back on 'track'.
