Geocache Description:

Continue up Mill Lane towards the final cache. Bear right at the dead centre of the village, but not if you are on your bike.

The cache takes its name from the church in Frisby-on-the-Wreake, which dates from 1200-1500 and stands in the centre of the village. In the late 1700's the Rev. William Brecknock Wragge gave Frisby a Gretna Green reputation. To supplement his income he married anyone without the obligatory Banns being read or a Licence obtained... no questions were asked.
Another story was that the hymn before the sermon always had many verses. This gave the rascal Vicar, time to slip out of the Chancel door, climb over the wall to the Black Horse Pub, down a pint, and return in time to deliver his sermon.
The old three storey coaching inn is now a private residence.
There is plenty of on street parking in the village.

THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE CHURCHYARD
