A shortish offset cache around Dinedor Camp overlooking Hereford and the surrounding hills.
We discovered Dinedor Camp when taking youth groups to the Dinedor Outdoor Centre. The views over Hereford around the camp fire first thing in the morning as the mist rolls in are amazing.
This Multicache takes you to the top of the hill fort and then to some common land just below the Outdoor Centre. You do not need to go through the Outdoor Centre compound to reach the cache.
Parking is at N52 01.432 W002 41.857 where there is a sign telling you all about the site. You need to count how many iron age sites there are in Herefordshire - there are 2#.
Next walk around the until you get to N52 01.401 W002 41.773 (the published co-ordinates) and find out who was here in ’03. If A=1 B=2 C=3 you are looking for a 4 letter name that gives you 5 digits. £$%&@.
The cache location is at N52 0$ &£% W002 4$ #@#. You can reach this either by following the footpaths to the east of the camp or following the permissive path through the woods from the car park.
The cache is on a public footpath on the edge of a field managed by the Outdoor Centre. Watch out for muggles as the field is sometimes used for grass sledging etc. Permission has been given by the Centre management.
