Geocache Description:

Tenth in the series. You and the cache will be pretty obvious, so be careful!

This is the tenth and final cache in the "Plain Sight" series. So far only one has disappeared, but I expected that, and a replacement is almost ready to go out. Finding this one takes you to the vicinity of Indiana University's Musical Arts Center, Known as The MAC. You can't miss the massive Calter sculpture, called "The Indian". No telling why. doesn't look like any Indian I've ever seen. You might want to pretend to take pictures of it or something to act as a cover while looking for the hide. The MAC contains an enormous rotating stage for scene changes. One of only two east of the Mississippi river. The other one's at the Metropolitan Opera house in New York City. This is all junk I used to have to tell people when I'd drive around doing the bus tours for the incoming students and parents. The university paid some girl to do the speaking but, she couldn't remember the trivia, so she just did her homework while I did the tour. Since you rarely had anyone on the bus that knew anything about the university to start with you could take massive liberties with what you told the riders. A couple of examples of these interesting but wholly fictitious tid bits: A couger once roamed the Old Crescent woods on campus, and that famed local rocker John "Cougar" Mellencamp came up with his stage name from that incident. Or how about: A series of natural caves link various university buildings, and was once used by army special forces to train for pacific cave assaults. These improbable disclosures would always elicit "ooohs" and "ahhhs" from the passengers. I remember one time I was driving a group of elderly alums over to Nashville to do a day shopping trip. You pass through the dinky burg of Belmont about halfway. At the time there was a little diner there. Picking up the microphone I'd intoned: "Ladies and gentlement, on your right you'll see the quaint Belmont Diner." "This diner was where the chefs originated the famous Belmont Steaks". After a short pause I'd heard a lady comment "So that's where they're from!". "You're an idiot, Ethel", her husband had said. Anyway, this cache is held shut by a magnet, so no tools are needed to open it. Bring something to write with. Be sure to watch for muggles! There's a couple Sakajewea coins and a fifty cent piece for the first few finders. Good Luck! Thanks for looking!
