HALFMOON LAKE NATURAL AREA
I came out to this beautiful Natural Area for the first time to find the handful of caches (by Ruzter and Fun Adventures)within its trail system and I couldn't resist adding one of my own!
I found the landscape to be very different with very sandy soil and open pine forests. This gave way, eventually, to a more common birch and poplar forest.
I accessed this area at the "East Parking Lot" which is very near "Half Moon Lake" Cache (by Ruzter). I recommend parking there.
The cache is a good sized L+L container with the usual swag. There is a FTF prize scratch ticket for the eager beaver!!
