Geocache Description:

Photobucket Cache is located along an eleven mile stretch of US Hwy. 129. known as the “Tail of the Dragon”.

The “Dragon” is known worldwide as one of the premiere roads for motorcycle and sport car enthusiasts. It’s twists and turns, along the ridges of a remote area between Tennessee and North Carolina make it a favorite for rallies of everything from Miatas to Harleys. At any time, the quiet serenity of this backwoods little road can suddenly be broken by the rumble of “Milwaukee Thunder”, or the flash of the “Metric Lightning”. As the owner of a sportbike, cruiser, and a roadster, I frequent this area quite often to get my adrenalin fix. This cache is located at one of the best pull offs on the Dragon. However, you must be extremely careful when pulling off, and back onto the highway. The cache itself is difficult to access, due to the steep terrain. However if one is brave enough to “go for it” you will be rewarded by discovering one of the most beautiful settings in this area.
