This is the old church at Leahy Junction. I remember in the 1960's driving by here going to Ephrata and Spokane from Brewster and Twisp and seeing the cross on top. Now there isn't even a top to have a cross.
This is not across the fence. There is a turnout on the southbound side of the road by the old church. Be careful this hiway can be really busy. It is just off the gravel. Check out the big ole Bulls is the field by the cache. When we placed this the bulls were under the tree watching us. Have fun but be careful. This is now accessible in the winter months, if there isn't to much snow to pull off the hiway, or they may plow the turn off I hope. The Church is long gone but you can see where it once stood. History and weather ahs a way of taking these old sites away. I would love to have pictures of the Chuch in its glory days! if any one has any please share them!!
