Geocache Description:

Hidden on what used to be Wingfield Pines Golf and Swim Club!! The Allegheny Land Trust Purchased the land in 2001 and it is accessible from dawn to dusk.

I won this cache container, a small stocked lock n' lock, at a caching event I went to in Ohio which was hosted by the Bramble Sisters! I helped daddy paint the container and then the family headed out to find a nice place to hide it. (sadly, that container was washed away, and although we found it, we have replaced it and it is no longer a small lock and lock, but has grown and might be metal)

To find the cache, you can park at Wingfield Pines which is now part of the Allegheny Land Trust and is located on Boyce Mayview Road just across from the entrance to the USC recreational complex.

The walk is more than a quarter mile in each direction but for the most part is fairly level. The beginning (and the return to the car) will be the only elevation change you will meet, but it is a paved drive. Of course, if you want to go straight down, the walk will be shorter, but i looked over the edge and definitely wouldn't take that route myself!!!

There are paths and "trails" all the way to the cache, but be careful...if you take a wrong turn, you might wind up WET and icky.

Have fun and please enjoy the area. As always, CITO what you can and be respectful to the plants and animals.

This is the first cache that i have hidden myself and I hope you like it!!!
