Geocache Description:

Jefferson River Canyon

A quick cache at a pullout, which should be accessible year round. In spring and summer look for bluebirds. You might even scare up a cottontail or two, but watch for cactus and rattlesnakes.

The building you see driving to the west is rumored to be what is left of a stagecoach stop. The house belonged to John and Ida Lyon according to the Headwaters Heritage History book (1983). They piped spring water down from the mountain to the north. You can still see some sections of pipe.
