Cache is in a Peanut Butter jar
Bridge piers in the Mcleod river for a bridge that was never completed. The area around the cache was the site of a sawmill that was operated by the Swedberg family from the early 1950's until 1962. In 1962 a smaller bridge they had been using was destroyed by high water. Also in that same year there was a fire in the mill and after that it was closed. The piers were placed before the mill closed to provide access to timber leases across the river.
This is a very nice spot on the Mcleod River. The river makes a bend here and the Embarras River enters the Mcleod. There are some random campsites and it is also a good spot to start a canoe trip. There are fishing holes and there is an Osprey nest near the cache that gets used every year. There is also a nice walk down the river along the top of river bank.
