This is a Night Time Only cache. Please do not try to find during the day.
This is also a themed cache, starting with all Green & White and MSU themed
items. Please try to limit trading to the theme of the cache.
There is an MSU themed FTF prize.
We have only ever attempted 2 night caches, and only completed one. The one night cache we found was the only one in the Lansing area, so we've wanted to place another one for some time.
We finally found what we think is a good location for a cache such as this. Being that it is located on the campus of MSU there is [staff] parking near the start of the cache that is not normally useable by the public during the day, posted as staff only from 7am - 6pm.
Again, this is a Night Only cache, and should not be attempted during the day as you will likely not be able to find it. When you arrive at the above coordinates go thru the gate and look for the first of several reflective Fire Tacks that will lead you to the cache. We tested the trail at night twice, and when you arrive at each Fire Tack along the trail you should be able to locate the next one.
Follow the trail of tacks for a total of about 0.6 miles to the cache. If you follow the tacks you should not have a problem following the trail. Sometimes there are trees across the trail and there may also be areas of light mud which have added to the terrain rating, so we are warning you ahead of time. You should notice a difference in the tacks when you are near the final... the cache is off the trail.
