Geocache Description:

The published co-ordinates are for Kirtling Church. To find the actual co-ordinates of the cache you will need to solve the clues below.

This Geocache can be completed by itself in alphabetical order of the clues below, but you need to find the geocache from Cobblers 10k Walk (GC1R97N) which contains the final clue for this cache. If you are doing this walk in one go without having done Cobblers 10k Walk first then you might want to do one clue out of alphabetical order for the optimal route.

All Cobblers Walks are linked in some way and are intended for walkers rather than quick stoppers, with the majority of both routes designed to make good use of public footpaths. There are also sections on pavement and a few short sections on quiet country roads without pavements.

The general area of the walk is flat and easy walking and the only reason for the high terrain score is the length of the walk. The walk is ideal for any supervised child that can make the distance, however it is not suitable for pushchairs because of the occasional stile and gate. Much of the walking is along footpaths adjacent to horse paddocks so although dogs can be taken along the whole route they will need to be kept under proper control – and of course make sure that they don’t leave any unofficial geocaches of their own.

This walk is designed as a circular walk of 26km starting in the village of Ashley and parking at the Recreation Ground or the nearby green. However there are many shorter routes around the area if you do not want to attempt all of the clues in one go. If you have already found the Cobblers 10k Walk cache then you will only need to complete the clues in capital letters (G to V) by way of a 14km circular walk to get the location of this cache. The 14km excludes the walk to the final cache which is no more than a kilometer from the nearest clue – but which one?

Note also that although some of the clues are on private land, e.g. the number of chimney pots on a house, the answers can always be clearly seen without going onto any private property, so please make sure that you keep to footpaths and respect the privacy of others.

The cache itself is a 0.7 litre clip-lock box.
