The Joey's: They are clearing all the trees in the area and ran over the cache with a big track hoe. When they are done in the area I will see if I can place it again.

Site of the old Lofgreen School House. Thought it would be fun to share some of the history of the area.
This is the site of the Lofgreen School it was a single room school house. Classes were held for 1st through 8th grades. The Last Teacher was Lois Nelson Steed. The school was closed for good about 1940. It had some on and off years when they couldn't find a Teacher. Miss Nelson lived with the Lofgreen family and taught school but had a falling out near the end of the last year. So she went to stay with the section Forman and his family until the end of the year. Most students by the 7th or 8th grade went to work somewhere like the railroad. Included is a picture of a class from this school. If anyone can identify anyone in the picture please add it to the bottom of the picture.
Other things in the cache, a Protractor, a set of pencils, an eraser, a pkg. of chalk, a Joey neclklace, a log. Most of the items have a school theme.
