Up A Creek Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
CTReviewer

Geocache Description:

My second Geocache! I placed this one nearby "Up In The Woods" which is close to where I work so I can easily check up on them. The hike to the cache is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile from my first cache and about 1/2 to 3/4 miles from the entrance to the trails.

Up A Creek is my second GeoCache. The cache itself is a standard otterbox-like cache, big enough for small trinkets and the like.

This is less than a mile off of I-95. Take exit 88 off of I-95 and head north off the exit. Go past the Marriott on your right hand side and turn right onto Poheganut Drive. Parking is on the left. The trail leading to the cache begins at the public parking lot nearby my work. Its location is 41.365907 N 72.022676 W.

There is a prize for FTF as well as a few trinkets to trade and a coin of my own I'd like to see make its way to the Amazon.

A note about hunting... I don't believe there is any hunting in this area as it is relatively close to I-95, but just in case: according to Connecticut law all deer hunters must wear "four hundred square inches of fluorescent orange clothing which is visible from all sides at all times" to legally hunt. If they are wearing that much orange during hunting season - so should you!
