Geocache Description:

*******Please be stealthy!******** A series of caches that lead from the River Avon up Brislington Brook. The terrain is varied; paths and tracks wind their way along the side of the brook, although the inital cache is quite easy to get to. There is just a bit of a slope. There is easy car parking in the supermarket car park - co-ordinates are listed below. PLEASE rehide with care!

This area had a pottery established in 1652 and amongst other stuff produced Delftware pottery. In the 1920's the site was turned into Brislington Board Mills. The present foot-bridge was opened in 1957 on which a plaque was erected which reads: -'This footbridge was opened to the public on 27 October 1957 and replaced St. Anne's Ferry which had been in existence since the Middle Ages.' Brislington Brook joins the Avon very close to this location. These days the site is now housing, shopping and a distribution center.
