Geocache Description:

A series of caches that lead from the River Avon up Brislington Brook. The terrain is varied; paths and tracks wind their way along the side of the brook and as you head further along, it can get a bit muddy at times.

Further in to St Annes Wood, it is clear that this was once a landscaped garden of sorts; there are little walls, bridges and steps, most of which have falled into disrepair. On your way up the valley, you may want to stop off at GC1R269 courtesy of the Bristol Blues Brothers -

We decided to name this cache Foss after our pet rat, Fossli, who died just before we started to make the series. He was named after a hotel in Norway which was next to a beautiful and huge waterfall - Foss being Norweigan for waterfall (we think!) There are some little cascades near the cache which are the closest things to waterfalls we could find near by.
