Geocache Description:

A short walk through a meadow in Stowe's Sterling Falls Gorge area.

The Sterling area of Stowe is a favorite place of mine to go cross-country skiing. Last winter, taking a short detour from the Catamount Trail, I had some nice skiing back to the car through a pine forest along the edge of the brook, then back through the field where I have hidden the cache to my car.

Park at N 44°32.352 W 072° 43.183, at the end of Sterling Valley Road. From the parking, you can go directly uphill through the meadow to the cache. A few short loops can be made here by continuing up the trail through the woods and turning either direction on the snowmobile trail.

While you're here, be sure to visit the Sterling Falls cache and see the gorge if you have not done so already. FTF prize is an unactivated A.T. geocoin.
