Hippity Hoppity Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Patudles: Out on a hike today and as I walked by this little lake I remembered I once hid a cache here. It hadn't been found in close to a year so I decided to take it out.

Geocache Description:

Overlooking the H&H reservoir near the Beehive reservoir. Not knowing what H&H stood for I called it Hippity, Hoppity for the frogs that were crooning in the nearby pond.

Park where you would park to find the Beehive Lookout cache and follow that road till it forks. Take the fork to the left and follow that till you come to another gate. Just past the gate take the path to the left and follow it till you have to start bushwacking to the cache. Or. . . . you could find a small trail just a short ways past the first gate and then bushwack the rest of the way to the cache like I did. Finding the easier way back.

I started out looking for the H&H reservoir and then followed my way between two small ponds listening to the frogs serenading me. Thinking this must be the reservoir I started looking for a good hiding spot. As I came up over the hill I saw the real reservoir. Much larger and bluer. As I was looking for a hiding spot I could hear the sounds of the water going somewhere. On the way back along the trail I spied a pipe and heard the gurgling sounds within.
