jcurtis55: Wasn't that fond of the available hiding spots and it's been in bad shape for a while.

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #679

"Washington Park North"

This quest will bring you to the Wahington Park North cemetery in Marion County. There are three other caches here, but it needed an ISQ cache. This is a newer cemetery than the typica ISQ location, but it's a beautiful cemetery and there are a lot of veterans buried here While the grounds are well manicured, I do miss the older headstones. In fact this is one of the more modern cemeteries with very few above ground headstones.

Navy WWII Veteran

L B Smith was a member of the US Navy during World War II. The CK3 rating is a Cook Third Class. With the time ships have to spend at sea, I suspect a good cook would be a pretty popular crew member.

WW II Army Veteran

The Technician ratings were used during World War II for army members who had specialized training. A Tec 5 was the equivalent of a corporal. The technician ratings got the soldier an increased pay grade, although they could not issue orders as if they were a corporal. A Tec 4 was the equivalent of a sergeant while a Tec 3 had the same pay grade as a Staff Sergeant.

Dear Old Granny

This lady did something we can all aspire to. She lived to be 94 years old and was obviously beloved by here family. I saw this marker and immediately took a liking to it as I have a grandmother who is 95 years old who is also loved by her family.
