Waterfalls Worth Gaun a Mile to see- Dalness Spout

This cache is located by a waterfall - Sput a' Chleibh or the alternative name of Dalness Spout.
These falls on the Water of Ruchill are one of a series of caches located at waterfalls in Central Scotland. These were inspired by my visits to waterfalls over the past 20 years, which were motivated by Louis Scott’s book The Waterfalls of Scotland : 1987. I have chosen waterfalls that are less well-known whilst still being worthwhile visiting for their differing qualities.
Louis Scott says " The Water of Ruchill is a considerable highland river and it tumbles over flaggy rocks in a narrow gorge making a fall of no great height, but one of some attractiveness. a footpath leads to a bridge over the river at a narrow gut".
Alas the foot-bridge is no more but the remains can be seen. The lower falls have also been changed in more recent times by blasting a fish ladder down the right hand side.
Park at the old Bothy. Climb the fence to the left, or go through the field gate. Make your way down the hill to the waypoint.
The track above the river has a steep drop so care must be taken especially with children.
The cache is right above the last waterfalls on the rapid. Coords were poor when we hid the cache, so look for a fallen tree that creates a gully betwen the tree roots and a huge mossy mound.
